Homekit blinds for large windows .... Help !!

Cupertino, May 28, 2021

Okay, so I recently moved into my new apartment and want to make my HomeKit dreams a reality now that I have the freedom to do whatever I want. I really want to have Homekit compatible electric blinds, which I know are expensive, but the biggest problem I face is that I have two huge windows, the bigger of the two being 4 meters long and 2.34 meters high! He looks amazing, so I don't want to slap him cheap. I looked at the Lutron and Somfy blinds and several different companies quoted me between 4000 GBP and 5500 GBP + VAT just for the big window !! THE WINDOW !!!! Honestly, I can't justify this money for some blinds. I have two smaller windows in my office and the spare bedroom that I look at for getting cheaper manual roller shutters and using Soma Smart Shades to make them "smart". I also looked at the two bigger windows, but I'm trying to find places to make the blinds so big and if I could get them, I have no idea if Soma's little engine would be strong enough to to open and close such large blinds. The other option I have is to break down the large window into 3 separate blinds that would split where the windows are. I think this would look pretty good, but that actually raises the price of Somfy, so I stayed with Soma again. Buuuutt I really don't want to have the roller blind of the medium blind that hangs only with Soma glued to the window sill. However, I found a company that can make electric blinds more affordable, but are only controlled with a remote control, without HomeKit or even Alexa integration. My question is, is there any way to integrate them with HomeKit? My only thought is to potentially use a few SwitchBots to press the buttons on the remote, but this seems a bit silly and I want to have physical buttons that guests can use without having to teach them how to use Siri. Does anyone have better solutions? I take out my hair !! Oh, and I don't even make those smart Ikea blinds long enough for my windows. Thank you in advance.
