HomeKit camera motion detection notification errors while at home

Cupertino, March 5, 2024

Problem: Last week, my Aqara CH-H01 HomeKit cameras suddenly started sending motion detection notifications to my iPhone when I'm home (despite being set up in HomeKit to only notify me when I'm not home). The cameras have been working properly for over a year. One-person household so there are no conflicts with Apple devices from other users. Tried solutions: Latest firmware confirmed via Aqara for both HomeKit cameras and Aqara hub (even though the cameras work as their own hub. Confirmed updated firmware for all Apple HomeKit hubs (multiple HomePods and an AppleTV) . Current iOS software secured for iPhone . Reset network settings on iPhone Disconnected and reconnected cameras Disconnected and reconnected all HomeKit hubs Secured updated software for other HomeKit devices even though it shouldn't to be relevant. Confirmed location (via FindMy app) of all connected Apple devices are within the geofence marked as "Home". Other potentially relevant factors I have a Vision Pro and have that device on Developer Beta updates (this is the only (my Apple device on which I have Beta updates) Tried disconnecting VP from battery to rule out potential conflicts as cause; no impact when powered on or off. Recently activated a new Apple Watch (Series 5) that was replaced through AppleCare+ due to dead battery. Make sure the old watch has been removed from your Apple Account and FindMy before shipping to Apple. The new watch is added to FindMy and precisely located in the app. Final Thoughts I've noticed this problem in previous posts and tried all the proposed solutions I came across. Still can't solve the problem. Hoping someone has other suggestions that might help. Thanks!
