I have a lot of shade bulbs and would like to compliment them with some LED strips throughout the house. Those that Hue sells are too expensive to include only one controller. I was thinking of buying a roll of generic LED strip and cutting it to pieces with a handful of generic Zigbee controllers. It looks like the generic controllers on Amazon will be working with the Hue Bridge, but not HomeKit. I'm trying to figure out why and find controllers that will.
