Homekit electrical interface and garage opener

Cupertino, May 10, 2021

Maybe a stupid question, but I have a garage door opener (Genie circa 2015) with a MyQ mounted on top of it and connected to the same socket with 2 sockets and I was happy with the setup. But, I just set up a room (Eufy P&T - not that it applies here) in the garage and that outlet was the closest to the room. So I bought a longer USB cable AND, thinking I was smart enough (it's a 12 'ceiling), I ordered a Vocolinc PM2E power strip just in case I had to restart the camera or MyQ. & # x200B; Except ... the actual range of my opener has been reduced by more than half (I can open it at the bottom of my path while I could be up the block ahead) and more importantly, MyQ can no longer recognize constantly remote door sensor. (I tried a new and unlucky battery yesterday.) & # X200B; So while I actually like * * as * PM2E, other than that little interference issue, my question is simply this: give up the remote bandwidth idea (aka if I have to reset one of the these two, I dropped the A-frame scale of 10ft) and got a stupid one, or could I be more lucky with something like a Meross electric strip? (Technically, I could move PM2E maybe another 3 ft from the opener, and MyQ could go a foot or two away, but seeing as it's already 5 ft from the opener, I'm not sure it will solve everything.)
