The outside light in our backyard is connected to a TP Link HS100 socket.
I worked with Homekit through Homebridge.
I recently bought a Hue dimmer so I can use it to turn the light on and off, instead of having to yell at Alexa every time I want to let the dog out.
The problem is that sometimes it will turn on the light and sometimes it won't, and I have to mix the button several times to make it do anything. The same goes for the "off" button.
Each time it is pressed, Homekit records the pressing of the button regardless of whether the light comes on or not.
Before throwing the TP Link socket in favor of a Hue socket, does anyone have any bright ideas?
All iDevices devices, including the iPad that acts as a home hub, are updated, Homekit and all plugins are updated.
