HomeKit + Hue light mixup

Cupertino, October 25, 2020

We've upgraded our home in recent months with the Hue, Somfy gateway and homebridge to display otherwise unacceptable accessories at HomeKit. Everything is wonderful, with awning, terrace heater, outdoor lighting, indoor lighting, etc.

But because we have a lot of built-in spotlights and lamps that we didn't want to replace with Hue, as well as enjoying the "old-fashioned" switches to turn on / off the lights, we added dimmers to our sockets, so lots of existing lighting operation with both Hue and switches: sunricher sr-zg9101sac-hp

We have 8 of them installed and they all work well in the Hue app and, after syncing with HomeKit, they work great for a few days, after which 2 disappear.

There are 3 specific accessories, of which only one will be displayed in the Home application. If I remove the light from the Hue and add it again, it is always the last light added that Home will display.

I tried to reset the Hue connection and it works again for a few days, but then I return to the same behavior. I checked the Hue API if the devices don't share the ID or something crazy. I turned off the lights and added them one at a time. I can't seem to find a solution :)

The lights work great with Siri, even if the Home app doesn't show it. Sometimes the Home application will show that there is a light on in the room, but it will not display the light accessory.

Any suggestions?
