I am beyond annoyed by this inconvenience.
I came home and my ecobee was not responding. Strange has never happened before. So follow the steps to reset it. It works great until I press reset, then a confirmation reset follows.
Well, what I found out was that when the ecobee application says that all the accessories will be disconnected from home, it means that ALL is not just the ecobee accessories.
Guess what I have to do for the rest of the night.
Pro tip for those who will share the same fate as me: write down what accessories go into what rooms. Write down the codes for HomeKit. Only at points of sale, I worked for myself.
