Homekit is not good enough?

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

How does your homekit setup work? Is it spotless or do you have random things? I understand that it is complex, each installation is different. Different network configurations, different devices, fw and so on. But for me, not even the simplest things are solid. Automations, for example, 6 shade lights should light up in the evening. Sometimes one or two light bulbs do not light up. If I let the shade hub take care of things, everything works very well. Another problem is automation in the shortcut application. I have one that is triggered by an nfc tag, which turns on 3 lights, turns off the needle unit and sets the phone not to bother. Half the time this fails. So I was curious if anyone was facing similar issues.
