For some reason, my HomeKit devices may take a day to appear "unanswered" in the Home application. I have Lifx and a Meross switch and I stopped counting the number of times I deleted them and associated them again.
It works well in their native applications, just not in Home.
I checked my router, it's just a standard internet connection with no firewall rules. mDNS is not configured because I have only one network and nowhere to repeat.
Is it DHCP rental time, maybe they can't reconnect after a day? Maybe the electrical noise is interfering? (Sony TV and Apple TV’s / HomePod are always fine and controllable)
I'm honestly stuck. Alexa can control them because it talks to their server as the application, rather than a local connection like HomeKit.
So I know the devices are affordable, but something keeps HomeKit from seeing them.
The only change in my network is that I switched from BT to Virgin Media.
My configuration is Virgin Media Superfibre in bridge mode to EdgeRouter X, to UniFi 8 Port to nanoHD AP.
Has anyone found HomeKit devices that aren't responding?
