HomeKit issues after replacing the network switch

Cupertino, October 18, 2019

A couple of days ago I replaced my 5 port Linksys network switch with an 8 port Netgear network switch and started having a lot of HomeKit "no answer" problems after the change. I'm not sure if it's iOS 13 related or network contact related. Is there any particular type of network switch I should use? Or do they all work more or less alike? I'm getting crazy trying to reset and reconnect devices. There have been problems mainly with the hue hub, but not exclusively.
