homekit plugs do not respond from a different AP (using PLC extender)

Cupertino, October 7, 2021

Hello! I have some homekit plugs (meross) that work well when I'm down, in the same access point as them. Upstairs I have a WiFi PLC extender (tp link) that connects to the same network (same IP range, network mask, etc.). They also have the same SSID (using the TPLink "cloning" feature). When upstairs, the outlets always appear "unresponsive". I'm not sure what I can do to make it work. I don't think the upstairs AP has a firewall, but maybe I'm wrong. For reference, I also have some eufy cameras that use a homekit enabled HUB (which is wired). that seems to work fine regardless of the AP Im connected
