Homekit recommendations for automating shades and drapes

Cupertino, March 3, 2024

I'm looking at getting some shades for the window and some curtains for the sliding glass door. After the remodel we have a single Lutron Casseta hub for Lutron switches. We met with a representative of Hunter Douglas. and now thinking about "Hunter Douglas Vignette Roman Shades Powerview Gen3" and "Hunter Douglas curtains with IronArt with Somfy". I'd like to keep things simple so adding 2 more hubs for these gives me pause. Powerview Gen3 seems to be fine. The Somfy/Tahoma looks kind of proprietary and not 100% wire/matter because you need a bridge. I'm also thinking Smart Wings or Zemismart for the curtain rail. I avoid batteries where possible and I don't look at rods so I don't think the SwitchBot will work. This stuff is expensive so I'd like more opinions on it. Does anyone have good or bad experience with any of these products mentioned? Any recommendations? Hunter Douglas Vignette Roman Shades Powerview Gen3
