HomeKit Router 6e?

Cupertino, October 27, 2020

I've had a Google WiFi router for a few years now. It still works well, but I have much less trust / interest in Google as a company since I purchased the device. I would finally like to throw away all non-HomeKit devices on the curb.

And now, with the launch of WiFi 6 and 6e, it seems like the perfect time to upgrade to a proper HomeKit router.

So, does anyone know when it is possible to see a WiFi 6e router with HomeKit? If I've been waiting so long and my current device is still working, so there's no point in grabbing a WiFi 6 router if 6e will be a thing soon enough. That should prove it to me in the future, so I don't have to think about routers and WiFi, hopefully, for another half decade.
