HomeKit Secure Video for EufyCam 2 / 2C is delayed until mid-April.

Cupertino, April 2, 2020

Anker, the parent company of smart home maker Eufy, announced a slight delay in introducing HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) into their EufyCam 2 and EufyCam 2C security camera systems. Despite the initial announcement for HSV it was released, although in Beta format, the full public version was delayed, to give the company's engineers more time to implement changes, although these changes were not specified.

Now, from Anker's statement, it seems we will have to wait a little longer, as the new HSV launch proposal is due by the end of April. The initial launch was supposed to have started yesterday (April 1, ironically enough), which came out of the back of the company, accidentally launching a beta version to a few customers, which ended with a performance of dissatisfied EufyCam 2 owners who saw no sign of upgrading. mentioned above. Anker finally released the following statement to address the confusion;

Between April 1 and 10, we will begin launching the firmware update that offers HomeKit Secure Video support on all eufyCam 2 / 2C security systems. The update will download automatically when HomeBase is inactive.
