Hello everyone, there are long-standing requests for HomeKit Secure Video video support on unofficial HomeKit camera accessories. If you're unfamiliar with HomeKit Secure Video, it's Apple's iCloud-based video processing and storage offering: it can detect people, animals, movement, packages, and vehicles, and allows you to set up automation based on what it finds. Clips are stored in iCloud for review by anyone in your family. We implemented this feature and it is available in Scrypted (a home automation platform we built). It will also be launched at Homebridge in the next few months. If you want to take a hit, you can install Scrypted here (it's open source):
