I have two HD hikvision cameras that are currently connected to the Synology surveillance application. With some deepstack AI in a docker container, I manage to filter out most of the false alarms. I use the synology iOS surveillance app to see recorded footage or, occasionally, very poor quality live streams. The Apple homekit secure video sounds great where AI will be able to recognize faces, dogs, cats, objects, etc. I understand that AI happens at home, for example, in AppleTV, but it will be impossible for me to continuously upload video streams with a upload connection of 300 kb / s. Is there a way to use Apple Homekit secure video, but store your local video stream? I would like to stop using Synology monitoring completely. Do you use something else like NVR?
