HomeKit thinks I'm in another house.

Cupertino, November 19, 2023

My friend set up his HomeKit. He is the owner and manager. I am a guest and administrator in his House. He is located in another state. I have my own House. Every once in a while my Siri HomeKit requests start acting up. Then I check where HomeKit thinks I am. Sure enough, the location icon in the Home app thinks I'm in the other Home in a different state. The only way I found to fix location is to disable HomeKit in settings > privacy > location services > system services. Turn off the phone. Wait a few minutes, then start again. My location is now back to my home. Is this just another HomeKit bug? Does anyone know why this happens or a way to stop it from happening?
