Here, in the UK, there are data protection laws regarding the registration of areas outside the boundaries of your property. It places your responsibility on you and opens you up to potential issues and, as a matter of course, personally I would not like to be filmed on my own. property without my consent. I just wonder how other users of Homekit secure video join the UK or any similar law in their own country.
I use Logitech circle 2 to record the activity in my garden, but due to the wide field of view, the room also chooses a public path and the garden of my neighbors. I was unable to find a position for the room to cover my property.
Has anyone heard of Apple's intention to introduce motion zones or some form of locking an area within the recording frame?
I am currently contacting Apple Technical Support to find out what they are doing in this regard. I have never had CCTV or any kind of security camera before, so I am not fully aware if there is any manufacturer responsibility for product users.
