HomeKit won't add Yale Assure Lock 2 "already paired"

Cupertino, March 8, 2024

Hi everyone - I installed a Yale Assure Lock 2 Touch yesterday, and after installing I was able to add it to HomeKit. Since then I've had a problem with the Yale app not seeing the lock (we don't have the WiFi module so the lock connects to our phones via bluetooth) so I took the batteries out and put them back in and was able to connect with success with blocking through the Yale app. BUT - it's totally gone from HomeKit. I've tried adding it back into HomeKit at least six times but I get the message **"this device is already paired with another homekit at home".** Does anyone know how I can fix this without having to reset Yale does it get stuck at factory settings and lose all codes and fingerprint information? And if I reset the lock would that work too? I'm totally confused.
