The audio quality of the HomePod is the reason I wanted one, the price is the reason I didn't get one.
I had a number of BT speakers about the size of the HomePod Mini and I was sure the sound would be more pleasant, but I honestly didn't expect it to be that good.
Now, it doesn't compete with a home audio setup. But for a device in my living room on a shelf, it's really impressive.
