HomePod mini will not control new light

Cupertino, October 4, 2021

So I got a NanoLeaf Essentials light strip a week or so ago and loved it. The thread integration was great and it worked perfectly. I recently got another one and my HomePods refuse to acknowledge it as a controllable light. I can control it just fine from the Home app on my iPhone, but even when telling Siri on the HomePod to do an action on all lights it just isn’t included.

Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on this? For reference, I’m on the 15.1 beta 2 and my HomePod minis are on 15.0 release.

Edit: In the NanoLeaf app it looks like it’s not actually joining the thread network. Any tips on forcing it to do it? I’ve tried setting it up a few times and power cycling my house.
