Homepod stops playing music after a while (iOS 17 Update)

Cupertino, September 20, 2023

So I just updated yesterday. I have noticed that the Homepod will stop playing music after a short time (a few hours or less). If I check on my phone it says it's playing but the progress bar isn't progressing. I restarted but the problem still exists. This happens when I stream to the Homepod or ask Siri to play directly from it. This is super annoying because we use it to drown out the noise for our dog at night when he sleeps and he woke up barking without it. Are there people with the same problem or solutions?
