Homepods connected to old iPhone?

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

Recently, I updated my iPhone X on the iPhone 12 Pro and transferred everything to the new phone. I still have the old phone and I will usually put it in airplane mode to save battery. However, when they do this and tell HomePods something that is a shortcut, they will respond to something like “I have a connection problem. Make sure your iPhone is on the same WiFi network as this HomePod. "My new iPhone shows me the house and I can still see all the shortcuts in the application. What have I done wrong or missed so that this is not a problem? Thanks!
