I hope someone here can help me - I'm trying to find a homekit solution to my problem and I'm confused, because it doesn't seem like an unusual thing to do. My current setup is that I have a TV and computer sound (and occasionally a recording player) connected to an old but decent AV receiver that outputs sound through decent quality speakers (it's only used as an amplifier since I -I replaced the TV). As part of my move to the homekit and to make my apartment look a little nicer, my electrical devices are now turned off, which looks much better, but I can no longer control via the IR remote control (I didn't want to do that anyway, because we always have to look for the remote control). tl; dr - I want to control the switching of the input device and the volume of the sound through the homekit. I don't want to replace my hifi speakers, but I would consider replacing the AV reviever with a suitable amplifier. What do I want to do is weird? Why homekit Hifi amplifiers are not a thing?
