I have a simple RF sensor on the warehouse door. I use a Sonoff RF bridge and Homebridge to use it with the home kit. It works well, is very reliable and I use it for night notifications and some home kit automation to turn on the lights when the door is left open. What I want to do is get a notification when it’s left open for X minutes. I’m not sure how to do this and all it does is send a signal when it detects the door open and when it is closed again. It’s not a two-way device, so you can’t check its “status”. What I want is to know when the open signal is not followed by a closed signal after a set period. How can I do this? Maybe using Siri shortcuts and some kind of script?
How can I achieve this automation with a sensor?
