Currently, I use an old iPad Mini 2 as a home hub because we don't use it.
I recently used the Eve app to configure some automation, because it allowed greater control than Homekit, but I had to use Eve on the iPhone to do this, because iOS 13 requires me to install Eve and the iPad Mini 2 can't use iOS 13 / Ajun. The automations I set up on my iPhone in Eve don't work unless the phone is within range of the devices.
I would like these more advanced automations to work while out of the house, so I plan to purchase a new device for use as a homehub, but I have no experience with Homepods or Apple TV.
With a quick search I found that applications cannot be installed on a Homepod, I'm not sure if the applications can be installed on Apple TV.
Is there anyway an application to control the automation with Apple TVs or configure Homepods as Homehubs and if so, how does it work?
