How does a dedicated Tado sensor work in HomeKit?

Cupertino, April 4, 2021

Dear community, I installed a smart thermostat as well as a temperature sensor from Tado in my living room and when adding Bridge to the HomeKit, both come with seemingly identical features, for example, I can use them in the HomeKit to adjust the temperature. In practice, I can also use the sensor to adjust the temperature, but its main function for me is to only measure the temperature at a different point in the room for reference. Now, for the sake of clarity, can I somehow "fix" HomeKit? Can I hide the sensor there or will the default HomeKit read the temperature directly back to the thermostat?
