How does a HomeKit Hub work? What is he doing? How come?

Cupertino, November 15, 2021

From what I understand, HK hubs communicate with your HK accessories and process and upload your HK SV files to iCloud. My question is, are HK devices connected directly to your hub or router? That is, a light is only connected directly to an Apple TV (if it itself is connected through the chain?) And not to my router? If this is the case, your home may / may need several active hubs at once. Would you like to have an Apple TV on the left side of the house and one on the right side of the house to allow all devices to be connected to HK? (With the wifi router in the middle and not strong enough to connect to HK devices in every corner of your house) I ask this because I plan to add 2 cameras to my system. However, it would be in a position where the Wi-Fi signal is probably not that strong. I wanted to know if a HomePod mini or Apple TV (w / LAN) that is placed next to the cameras can connect directly to them, making the connection of the cameras more reliable than trying to connect directly to Wi-Fi? (Making Apple TV act as a Wi-Fi LAN adapter for cameras) I've never seen a single hub active at the same time. Isn't it possible to have multiple hubs running at the same time? What difference does it make if I connect an Apple TV via LAN or Wi-Fi? Adding to the question above, are there any HK devices that only connect directly to your router and others that can connect directly to an Apple TV (Wi-Fi and BT)? I'm sorry if it's hard to read, I really can't describe my questions. Thanks for any advice.
