My husband and I enjoyed using our AppleTV as our home hub and set up all sorts of devices, many on Home Assistant (HA), which is great. I added about 90 devices to the HA and went through the tiring process of adding them to the HomeKit and everything worked great. The husband doesn't really use the Home app, but Apple TV is on his Apple ID. Today, my husband decided to start using the Home app, after seeing how great everything is for me. However, when he opened it, all the devices said "Update ...". I left him like that for a few hours, but no joy. So he did "Take Home Away." Now our house and everything in it is gone! How can we restore the HomeKit configuration? Can we recover it from an iCloud backup or something? Where is all this stored ??
