Humidity sensor question

Cupertino, November 11, 2021

With the winter just around the corner, I'm breaking the humidifiers again. I'm looking to make a smart turn this year. My hope is to find a good HomeKit humidity sensor, which I can use both to determine the humidity in different rooms and as a trigger to turn on the humidifiers (it will be on a smart outlet). Example: If the humidity sensor reports that the humidity in the bedroom has dropped below 50%, it will trigger the smart plug, starting the humidifier and turning it on until it returns to the target%. Any thoughts, suggestions or questions are greatly appreciated!
