I bought a G4 ringer but it's too loud with my HomePods. Help me please

Cupertino, April 23, 2024

Hi all, thanks for your help, I went out and bought an Aqara G4 doorbell and I love it, the integration is brilliant. Thank you guys.

The only issue I have is with the facial recognition and the home pod ringer volume.

So if my HomePod isn't at 20%, for example, and I press the doorbell, the HomePod will announce "John Smith is at the door" at 80% volume before returning to the normal 20% it was originally at.

Does anyone know how to sort this? I had to turn off facial recognition, hopefully that fixed the volume for now as it's too late at night to press it every minute.

I've called Apple and they are clueless as usual and I've emailed Aqara support and see if they get back to me.

I'll have to turn off the HomePod ringer for now.

Thank you in advance
