Despite the significant number of users who reported problems with Circle View Doorbell overheating, I bought the bell anyway. I installed it on the front door on the west on Thursday. Here in New England, it was a very hot weekend, reaching about 85º-90º. I am ~~ happy ~~ lucky to report that it did not overheat! I know the small size of the sample, but at least it gives me hope that I will not snatch it for a return. Overall, I'm pretty happy with that otherwise. I like the integration and the homekit interface quite well, and the video quality is pretty good. Installation was relatively easy, and the wires and labels provided were a pleasant touch. My only disappointment is that I was forced to disconnect my back bell. I would like Logitech to be a little more transparent in this regard. If anyone knows how to connect my rear bell to my front / rear transformer, I'd love to hear it.
