I had to change the wifi password on my IoT network

So I got a notification that the password used by my Nanoleaf devices (so my entire IoT network) was compromised and needed to be changed. So I changed it, and the HomePod minis (hubs) were reassigned to the IoT network with the new password. Now, more than an hour later, nothing responds. So a search here suggests that EVERY device will need to be removed, reset and re-added...REALLY??? in 2024, smart home makers and Apple can't put things together any better than this???
