I just removed three of my Phillips Hue bulbs after resetting them, they've been installed in a ceiling fan in my bedroom for five years and I've never had a problem with them, at least in HomeKit.

Tomorrow we are installing 2 Hunter symbol connect smart ceiling fans, one for my bedroom and one for my parents bedroom. These were chosen after much deliberation and a bit of a conflict of interest between me and my dad, my dad wanted something that worked with Alexa, I wanted something that worked with both Alexa and HomeKit. My dad didn't care if it worked with HomeKit. Regardless of how it went, I knew I could use Homebridge to expose the fans, since most fans on Amazon just use Tuya Smart Life, but I just didn't want a cloud-based solution, at least for my bedroom, but of course I wasn't. I'm not trying to make this conflict of interest worse, although I think my dad would have allowed me to get a different fan for my bedroom than he got for his bedroom. For context, I'm tired of cloud-based solutions and looking to get rid of my Amazon Smart plugs, which are currently integrated into HomeKit via Homebridge and the Alexa Smart Home plug-in, which is cloud-based. I've had too many reliability issues with these, at least with the plug-in, to continue using them for an extended period of time. How will these fans evolve? how is the light How is the reliability? how is the fan How is the integration with Alexa? Where is the back button in the Home app? Can I automate fan reversal? What should I do with these extra Phillips Hue bulbs? If nothing else, I will put them in decorative lamps, but what decorative lamps should I buy? Should I do something? By the way, these are Philips Hue bulbs that change color. They are the ones that don't have Bluetooth. Anyway, just shit, but it was a bit of a surreal moment. But I am legitimately looking for answers to the above questions.
