I found this a little worrying about this temperature sensor.
I just received my new eero 3 package (mainly for homekit router capability) and shut down all devices using restricted mode.
Everything seems to behave on its own, except for the iHome iSS50 temperature monitors. As soon as I activate the restriction, they go to “no answer”.
I go into “auto” mode and return immediately.
I seriously doubt that these units are doing something malicious, but it’s a little weird. Does anyone else see this with their equipment? Do you have any idea what this little boy on the internet needs to read the temperature?
It would also be interesting to have a wiki list for homekit drives that get scared as soon as they are disconnected from the internet.
