I’ve got 5 iHome smart plugs (two different models) controlling various lights, and within the past couple of weeks my usually solid smart plugs have gotten flakey as all hell, with at least one of them (never the same one) showing “no response” every day, and quite often 4 or even all 5 of them becoming unresponsive. Despite the no response status in HomeKit, my Eero app reports they are always still connected to the network. Fixing the problem is always as simple as unplugging and replugging them back in, but that’s getting to be tiresome as one is behind a cabinet and another requires a ladder to access. My hubs (an Apple TV and HomePod) are up-to-date, and firmware for the plugs are up-to-date as well. Other than iOS 14 and upgrades to that, nothing has really changed here as far as the network or other equipment changes.
iHome smart plugs… anyone else having problems with them lately?
