Ikea Smart Blinds

After a launch in Sweden in August, Ikea's smart blinds are expected to hit the US on October 1st. Controllable via the app for Ikea's Trådfri smart home, they will be compatible with Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa. Although there are two models of smart shades available in Sweden, the United States will only get Fyrtur shades (at least for the moment).

These stores are incredibly affordable, ranging from $ 129 to $ 179. With a rechargeable battery via MicroUSB, they are also practical.

However, Ikea only launches this product in one style: a textured shade of gray woven with small speckles of white. Although minimalist and modern, this look will not fit perfectly in the decoration of each house. But the price is right.

If you have a budget but you really want smart blinds, you can convert conventional blinds yourself into smart blinds, using the MySmartBlinds automation kit kit + the solar panel. Easy to install, without tools, it integrates vertical blinds with Alexa and Google. The battery charges via a solar panel, which makes this system incredibly efficient.
