I'm working on my conversion from Alexa to HomeKit

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

One of the 10 Kasa sockets I replace controls my steam iron. It's a high-capacity smart plug connected to an outlet in my garage. I used to take a stepped chair to connect my iron. This special iron has no power switch, so my plug was great. Now I can use it with the Kasa application, but not with Siri. The iron is 1800 watts - so I need a smart plug heavier than a lamp. I don't want one like Meross that has a cable outlet that plugs in, I want it to plug directly into. Otherwise it will hang from the ceiling, look bad and may fall due to weight. Welcome suggestions!
