Interesting note: Using an accessory that is part of your home other than your home will make the Home app consider you at home.

I have a Roku streaming stick I'm traveling with. I recently added it to Home in HomeKit. I was on a trip and I was using it. I have noticed that all my automations that are based on whether or not someone is at home do not work as expected. Finally, I followed the problem using the Roku stick. Using it made HomeKit think I was home when I wasn't there. Removing Roku from HomeKit Home solved the problem. I wanted to share because I don't think this is obvious. It seems that not only your iPhone uses it to make this determination.
