Interrupting the Internet of your HomeKit smart home

Cupertino, February 6, 2020

I use UPS and receive notifications when there is a power outage, but how to be notified in case of internet failure / shutdown, once all hubs have stopped and you cannot manage HomeKit remotely?

I don't want to have any other remote access to the home network (for example, pinging) than HomeKit, to keep my network secure.

I know that, e.g. The Unifi mobile control application can send the notification once the disconnector is disconnected.

Is there any other "elegant" and secure solution, how should it be notified? How do you approach this issue?
