Since the launch of the software in September, Apple has released its first official adoption statistics on iOS 13 and iPadOS, revealing that 50% of all iPhone models now use a version of iOS 13 and up. 33% of them now use iPadOS.
Posted in an update of the App Store Developers Page, Apple claims that 55% of iPhones introduced in the last four years use iOS 13, while 38% still use iOS 12.
The data shows that the adoption of iOS 13 is on par with the adoption of iOS 12 last year, with 53% of devices running iOS 12 around the same time in 2018.
The statistics are based on devices that connect to the App Store and do not include devices that download the latest software but are never connected, nor devices that are not connected to an Apple ID.
