IR Blaster with an extension cable/blaster?

Cupertino, July 27, 2023

I have a unique challenge. I’ve got a TV out by the hot tub and it has a shitty HDMI CEC implementation.

I was thinking of installing an IR blaster inside my hot tub electronics bay to keep it safe from the climate. I wanted something that is capable of offering an IR emitter (sort of like a Logitech Harmony) via a cable, so that I can run it outside of the tub and point it at the TV. That way the device itself is safe and sound, and just the IR cable is exposed.

Does anyone know of such a device? I technically just need limited functionality like power, volume and input select via HomeKit or Homebridge.

I’d like to avoid Logitech Harmony since they discontinued it, and technically it’s not HomeKit supported.. but since I’m open to using Homebridge I guess it fits the bill as a last resort. Any other options out there?
