Is a homebridge needed if most / all devices are compatible with HK?

Cupertino, November 20, 2021

Hi everyone, I just bought a new house. I have a stable WIFI connection (1 gbps) in each room via APs and even external coverage. Most of my products are HK compatible, such as Ecobee, Lutron switches, Lifx light strips, ismartgate garage openers, etc. I'm mainly looking for automations, such as after sunset when the garage door opens, our Lutron switches turn on the outside lights of the garage. while shooting in the alley. Do I need the homebridge to do these types of automations or does the homekit already have this ability? I'm somewhat good at technology, so I don't mind setting up homebridge, but homekit can do this already, it would save me time to set up all my homebridge devices. TIA.
