Hello! I've been doing a lot of research over the last few days and I feel like I know less than when I started. I'm trying to set up HomeKit, and most things like lights, Apple TV, and the like have been installed with relative ease. Now I want to connect my multiroom speaker system to HomeKit as well. I know I'm going to need an amplifier / receiver. For now, I don't own either. There are a lot of banana plugs on the L / R channel coming out of the wall that have been installed in my house. The problems I face are, first of all, do I need an amplifier? This is not clear to me. Just because an amplifier has multiple outputs, does it have multiroom control? Do I need a bridge at home? I looked at the Denon receivers, but they all look like AV receivers where I pay more for the video than I would like or they don't have real multiroom control. Any advice would be appreciated. I also stay at the computer all day - if you need more information, I'll try to get back to you as soon as I can.
