TLDR; I probably need an ELI5 on why to get a HomeKit enabled mesh system vs one that isn’t HomeKit enabled. Also, should I build on my current Linksys AC2200 mesh or go with something like Eero?
I’ve been searching the internet and this sub for a reason on why a HomeKit mesh system is better than a mesh system without HomeKit support, but I’m not finding a direct answer. Or maybe I need an ELI5 answer.
I currently have a Linksys AC2200 that I recently bought, but it occasionally drops out. It’s been better recently, but I was not sure whether to build on this mesh router or go with something like Eero since it is HomeKit enabled. I do plan on installing quite a few Eufy cameras (probably 6) since my home is not uniform in shape. I was recently told by Best Buy after a home consulting appointment that my home is not very accessible to put in an NVR system since attic is not easy to navigate (which I have to agree).
