I have 2 questions, I hope you can help. I want to have the advantage of having my whole house have smart light switches, so I don’t have to worry about people turning off my smart light bulbs. (Provided I only go on the smart light bulb route.) The problem is, QUESTION 1: To have colored lights, should I still buy smart lights anyway? Maybe the Phillips shade is my best route, given the quality and reliability? This then leads me to another problem. Suppose I called my kitchen light switch: “kitchen light.” If I ask Siri to change the kitchen light to red, I’d assume it won’t work, since it indicates the switch and not the light bulb. Giving the bulbs their own name seems a bit difficult. Maybe for a room it would be easy to remember. What if you have 10 different rooms and lamps? It adds. Not to mention, if the smart switch is off, I should tell Siri to turn on the switch first, then ask her to turn her red light again … QUESTION 2: Is there another way to to solve the “hassle solution” mentioned above? Or is there currently no way to do this with a single light switch? Thanks in advance for your help!
Is there a way to control colored lights with smart switches?
