For almost 2 years I installed a Kwikset Premis on the front door and I never managed to put the device to work constantly with HomeKit / WiFi. At first, I used an old iPad as a hub that never worked with Kwikset Premis, so I relied on Bluetooth only until I updated the hub I made now and I have a HomePod Mini (which I like!). So, I reviewed the connectivity issue and tried to reconnect the device to HomeKit, this time it was successful and I was able to use it for a few days before it stopped working. Well, that was the last time it worked. I made every reset possible and, at best, I managed to get 1 or 2 lock / unlock sequences on the device and then it’s Bluetooth only after that. I contacted customer service who spoke to me through the same resets I tried and then told myself that the device is not compatible with HomePod Mini, only the devices listed on their website, which is iPad, Apple TV and HomePod and so on did not explicitly list HomePod mini). I’m currently sending a new device under warranty to try. This will now be the third device because the first one failed, some numbers do not answer the keyboard and it loads slowly. Does anyone have experience in this regard? Do other users successfully use Kwikset Premis and HomePod Mini? TIA! TLDR: Kwikset Premis does not work with HomePod mini.
