Lag with Home Kit vs. Alexa

Cupertino, October 16, 2020

I have Phillips Hue lights in my house. I plan to buy some Minis Home Pods to replace the Echo Dots in my house.

When I ask Alexa to turn on a light through an Echo Dot, it happens almost instantly. When I ask Siri via the Apple Watch, there is always a gap, sometimes a few seconds.

Will I see the same gap with the home Bridges? It's not a dealbreaker, but very annoying.

Everything is on the same WiFi network with eero routers. The Philips Hue Bridge is a wired Ethernet cable. Everything else connects wirelessly.

Thanks in advance for any guidance :)
