Level Smart Lock: Pls share your experience since the latest fw 2.17.0 and app update

Cupertino, October 13, 2020

I currently have the August lock with bridge install. I though I’d unpack and test the Level Lock and see what has changed since i stopped using it 5mo ago due to the awful app experience compared to the August app. To my surprise here are a few changes that i noticed.

- unable to update or install the app outside its supported country. So i switched to my US App Store ID but i couldn’t update it with a pop-up saying the developer has removed the app from the App Store. I had to uninstall and reinstall using my US app ID. I initially installed the app using my non-US app ID without issues. VERY UPSET about that so i email support and waiting on their reply.

- very happy that i can now set the auto lock time up to 1hr. And it is very reliable with the time lock setting.

- in-app geofencing. I have not tested it yet. But the lock is sitting near the door waiting for the next time i step out and back. I’m interested in your experience with this new feature.

- boost range feature was added but we do not know how much it drains the battery. And does it increase the range between the phone and the lock? Or just the lock and the HUB?

Pleas share your thoughts?
