LG Launches New Range of OLED, Smart, UHD, NanoCell AI ThinQ TVs in India

LG launched its new range of Artificial Intelligence (AI) TVs in India on Wednesday. The range includes various Smart, LED, UHD, NanoCell and OLED AI ThinQ models. The South Korean company also offers the integration of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to its 2019 OLED TV lineup unveiled in January just before CES 2019 in Las Vegas. In addition, the Apple HomeKit integration on the OLED 2019 and some NanoCell TV models to enable control via Siri and the Home app on Apple devices. Some LG TV models will also support Apple AirPlay 2.

The new line of LG TVs extends models from 32 inches to 77 inches, between the price range of Rs. 24,990 and Rs. 10,99,990. The TVs are preloaded with a number of OTT applications, including AltBalaji, Amazon Prime Video, Eros Now, Hotstar, Hungama Play, Netflix, Sun Nxt, YouTube, YuppTV and Zee5.

As presented at CES 2019 last January, the LG 2019 OLED TVs incorporate the integration of Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant to provide ready-to-use voice assistance. LG has also proposed its ThinQ AI voice recognition technology to enhance the experience of preloaded wizards. TVs are also meant to include contextual voice comprehension. In addition, users can directly access features such as Alexa routines with the help of the LG Magic remote.

For customers looking for high-quality image results with vivid color reproduction, LG offers the NanoCell TV line, which includes features such as nano color with full ray attenuation, nano-precision, and nano-color. glasses. The company says its new panels on NanoCell TV models are designed to deliver brighter colors than conventional LED TVs. The thin screens of the new TVs also aim to provide users with an immersive visual experience.

As mentioned, the OLED 2019 TVs and some NanoCell TVs will support AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit. The addition of AirPlay 2 will allow users to watch videos on new LG TVs directly via their Apple devices. With the integration of HomeKit, LG will bring the ability to control its TVs with the help of Siri or Home application.

LG has also provided features such as mobile connection overlay, as well as access to Google Photos and Google Drive. In addition, the TVs have a two-way Bluetooth feature that allows users to wirelessly listen to the TV's audio on a compatible device and connect the smartphone to the TV to stream music continuously.

At the launching ceremony, Abhiral Bhansali, product manager of home entertainment (OLED TV and UHD), said that LG India planned to cover more than 84% of the AI ​​market with its ThinQ AI TVs. The new TVs will be available for purchase via different channels online and offline.
